, AZ.- A woman was hospitalized with major injuries after a hit-and-run collision in Phoenix on Wednesday afternoon, according to Phoenix police.

Authorities received a call at around 2:37 p.m. November 12, about a crash near 23rd Avenue and Indian School Road.

A vehicle hit a woman near the intersection and the driver fled the scene before authorities arrived.

The woman was transported to a hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

There was no description of the involved driver or vehicle.

The Phoenix Police Department is searching for the hit-and-run driver.
