Stockton, CA – A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Stockton early Saturday morning, authorities said.
The fatal incident took place at around 4:42 a.m. on August 30 in the area of South Stanislaus and East Jackson streets.
According to preliminary investigations, one vehicle appeared to have broadsided another vehicle at the intersection, triggering a collision that also impacted several other parked cars.
A 68-year-old woman, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, was rushed to the hospital where she died. Her name has not been released.
Police said two suspects fled the scene on foot following the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
