Stockton, CA – The USPS carrier who was killed in a crash involving a semi-truck in Stockton on Saturday has been identified.
The San Joaquin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased as 31-year-old Joshua Lor of Stockton.
The fatal collision occurred near Clayton Avenue and El Dorado Street at about 6:15 p.m. on May 2, 2026, according to Stockton police.
Preliminary reports indicate the crash involved a semi-truck and Lor’s vehicle as he was driving home from work. The circumstances leading up to the collision were not immediately determined.
Lor was found unresponsive at the scene. First responders performed life-saving measures before he was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. No other injuries or arrests were reported.
Emergency crews and Stockton police officers responded to the scene and secured the area while conducting the initial investigation.
The collision caused disruptions in the area as authorities worked to investigate and clear the roadway.
According to a U.S. Postal Service spokesperson, Lor worked as a City Carrier Assistant. Lor’s family has set up a GoFundMe page to help them with funeral expenses.
The incident remains under investigation.
