Bakersfield, CA – The Kern County Coroner's Office has identified a woman killed in a head-on collision on Highway 58 in Bakersfield Sunday evening as 19-year-old Mariana Lizbeth Rivera Acosta of Buttonwillow.
The incident was reported on Highway 58, west of Interstate 5 at around 5:57 p.m. on February 2.
An eastbound 2016 Chevrolet on the highway driven by Acosta collided head-on with a westbound 2023 Dodge operated by 22-year-old Buttonwillow man.
Acosta died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
