Phoenix, AZ – The Arizona Department of Public Safety had identified a samaritan killed in a crash Sunday morning on Loop 202 in Phoenix as 51-year-old Catherine King of Mesa.
The incident happened at around 5:20 a.m. on March 9, on Loop 202 at 40th Street.
Reportedly, a Dodge Durango driver headed west on Loop 202 lost control, hit a median wall at 40th Street, spun, and came to rest while facing the wrong way in the center lane of the highway.
King got out of her car to check on the other car's driver when another driver saw the wrong-way-facing vehicle and swerved to the right, striking her.
King was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
