A car was traveling westbound on SR 260 when it swerved into the eastbound side and collided head-on with a Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District ambulance

Phoenix, AZ.- Three people were killed in a collision involving an ambulance in Phoenix on Sunday night, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The crash took place on State Route 260 near milepost 319 at around 10:15 p.m. September 14.
A car was traveling westbound on SR 260 when it swerved into the eastbound side and collided head-on with a Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District ambulance.
Two firefighters and the driver of the car were killed in the accident.
The identities of the involved parties were not immediately available.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
