Yuma, AZ – Two teenagers suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle at an intersection in Yuma late Monday night, according to the Yuma Police Department.
The crash occurred at approximately 11:21 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026, at the intersection of South Mary Avenue and East 24th Street.
Preliminary investigation findings indicate an 18-year-old male was operating a 2009 Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound in the 1200 block of East 24th Street. Investigators said the motorcycle collided with a 2026 Honda Civic driven by a 21-year-old woman. The Honda was traveling westbound and was making a left turn south onto Mary Avenue when the collision occurred.
The motorcyclist and his passenger, an 18-year-old girl, sustained serious, life-threatening injuries. They were transported to Onvida Health and were later flown to a Phoenix-area hospital for further treatment.
Authorities said speed appears to be a factor in the crash. No arrests were reported, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Yuma Police officers and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and provided aid to the injured victims before they were transported for treatment.
