Yuma, AZ – Two women were hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Yuma on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Yuma Police Department.
The crash occurred around 1:59 p.m. on November 12, 2025, at the intersection of 8th Street and Magnolia Avenue.
Authorities said an 18-year-old female driving a Hyundai Elantra was traveling eastbound on 8th Street and attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Magnolia Avenue when she collided with an Infiniti G37 driven by a 42-year-old woman traveling westbound on 8th Street.
The 42-year-old driver was transported to Onvida Health and later flown to a Phoenix-area hospital, where she remains in serious condition. The 18-year-old driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at Onvida Health. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
According to investigators, speed appears to have been a factor in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by the Yuma Police Department.
