San Luis Obispo, CA – The motorcyclist who was seriously injured in a crash with a vehicle in San Luis Obispo Tuesday morning died at the hospital, according to the San Luis Obispo Police Department.
The deadly wreck took place on Broad Street near Caudill Street shortly before 9 a.m. March 24.
Police reported that the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Broad Street and crashed into the back of a silver sedan that was making a left turn from southbound Broad Street onto Caudill Street.
San Luis Obispo police and emergency personnel responded to the scene and found the motorcyclist suffering from major injuries.
Medics transported the rider to a hospital for further treatment but the victim was later pronounced deceased. The victim’s name was not immediately released pending notification of the next-of-kin.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured and was cooperative with the investigators. According to investigators, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs was not suspected to have been a factor in the collision.
The San Luis Obispo Police Department is conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the wreck.
