Linn County, OR – One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Linn County last week on Sunday morning, according to the Oregon State Police.
The fatal crash happened at around 9:22 a.m. on August 17 on Highway 20 near milepost 4.
A preliminary report indicated that a westbound Toyota 4Runner, driven by Ryker Thomas Pitam, 19, of Albany, lost control and rolled on the roadway, ejecting the driver in the process.
According to OSP, the driver was avoiding a westbound vehicle that was making a right-hand turn into a driveway.
The Toyota 4Runner driver was rushed to a nearby hospital. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The police conducted an on-scene investigation that impacted the highway for about 2 hours.
