Phoenix, AZ.- A driver who was critically injured in a two-vehicle accident in central Phoenix on Sunday morning later succumbed to his injuries.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, Ronald Johnson, 78, died following the wreck that took place near 19th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard at about 10:30 a.m. November 9.
Two cars collided at the intersection under unclear circumstances.
Johnson died of injurues sustained in the crash.
The second driver, who was not named, was transported to a hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
The intersection remained closed as authorities worked to clear the scene.
The Phoenix Police Department is conducting an investigation into the accident.
