Rimrock, AZ– A pregnant woman was injured in a hit-and-run crash near Rimrock on Sunday afternoon, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.

The accident was reported at around 3 p.m. September 7, near Top of the Morning Drive and Beaver Creek Road.

Deputies said a 29-year-old woman was hit by an SUV that fled the scene after the crash.

The woman was flown to a hospital with serious.

Authorities said the woman and her unborn baby are expected to survive.

According to the report, a pearly white SUV, possibly a Jeep Cherokee, was seen leaving the scene and is suspected to have been involved in the accident.

The incident remains under investigation.
