The wreck happened on 1st and Jackson streets on Tuesday, November 4.
A Phoenix police officer was on duty when they were involved in a crash with a second motorist.
The officer was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The other driver was not injured in the collision.
Roads in the area were shut down as authorities investigated the incident.
