Merced County, CA – A man was killed in a Monday after traffic collision at Cressey Way in Merced County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the mishap happened just before 3 p.m.  in the area of Cressey Way and Eucalyptus Avenue.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a man in his 30s from Merced was driving a westbound Toyota coupe on Eucalyptus Avenue when he ran a stop sign, traveling directly into the path of the a northbound a 2017 Ford pickup truck that had right of way, causing collision.

The solo occupant of the Toyota died at the scene. The two other occupants of the Ford did not sustain any injuries.

The name of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.

No further details regarding the accident was provided.
