Merced County, CA – A 75-year-old woman was hit and killed by a vehicle at an intersection in Merced County Monday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly wreck was reported at around 1:45 p.m. on March 3 at the intersection Shanks Road and Mediterranean Avenue in Delhi.
Authorities said the woman was walking in a crosswal when she was hit by a grey Toyota Camry 4D operated by a 77-year-old driver.
The woman was declared dead at the crash site.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
No further details regarding the accident were available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
