
Long Beach, CA.- A pedestrian who was injured in a hit-and-run collision earlier this month on the Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach has succumbed to her injuries, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The victim was identified by the LBPD as 46-year-old Brandy Jackson.
At about 12:28 a.m. on November 13, 2025, authorities responded to the PCH at Maine Avenue in regards to a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
The LBPD reported that Jackson was walking in the area when a vehicle struck her and fled the scene before authorities arrived. Jackson was transported to a hospital with major injuries and was confirmed deceased on Tuesday, November 25.
There were no details on the suspect driver or vehicle involved in the incident. The LBPD is investigating the hit-and-run crash. Long Beach has been ranked among the cities with a high number of hit-and-run incidents among cities of its size. For example, data from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) shows that Long Beach recorded 248 hit-and-run accidents in 2024. In those incidents, 18 pedestrians were killed one of them victims was a minor. This ranks Long Beach among 5th most dangerous cities in California in regards to hit-and-run pedestrian accidents.
