Long Beach, CA – One person was injured in a traffic collision that took place on the Long Beach (710) Freeway in Long Beach early Friday morning.
According to the California Higwhay Patrol, the wreck happened at around 2:02 a.m. August 21, just north of Florence Avenue.
Preliminary reports indicate that multiple vehicles collided in the southbound lanes of the freeway. The exact circumstances under which the incident occurred were not immediately provided.
According to the CHP, the accident led to one person being transported to a hospital for treatment. There was no update on the condition of the hospitalized person.
The westbound lanes of the freeway were temporarily blocked as authorities worked to clear the scene. All lanes were reopened at around 3:30 a.m.
An investigation to establish the cause of the collision is under investigation.
