San Bernardino, CA – A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday night after colliding with a car on Del Rosa in San Bernardino.

The San Bernardino County Medical Examiner’s office identified the deceased motorcyclist as Lawrence Stewart, 45, of San Bernardino.

The deadly collision happened at about 8:33 p.m. on March 18, 2026, in the 2000 block of Del Rosa Avenue, north of Highland Avenue

Officers from the San Bernardino Police Department, along with County Fire and AMR crews, responded to the scene.

The responding personnel located a Dodge Charger with a person trapped underneath the vehicle, and required extrication.

The firefighters lifted the vehicle and extricated the motorcyclist from underneath the vehicle.

The rider, later identified as Stewart, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, authorities said.

The incident led to the closure of both northbound and southbound lanes of Del Rosa Avenue as officers conducted their investigation into the incident.

No additional information has been provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
