According to the Long Beach police, Ferrera was trying to walk across Atlantic Avenue when she was struck by a southbound vehicle
Long Beach, CA.- The woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Long Beach last week on Friday has been identified as Jaime Ferrera, 46, according to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner.
The deadly accident took place just before 9:05 p.m. August 1, on Atlantic Avenue and 36th Street.
According to the Long Beach police, Ferrera was trying to walk across Atlantic Avenue when she was struck by a southbound vehicle.
Ferrera was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Police reported that impairment and speed were not suspected to have played a role in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
