Fairfax, CA – One person was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Fairfax on Tuesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The fatal collision occurred at approximately 6:44 p.m. at the intersection of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Shadow Creek Court.

CHP officials responded to a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle at the intersection.

Reportedly, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin. Information regarding the driver involved was not immediately available.

California Highway Patrol officers and other emergency personnel responded to the scene. The Marin County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene, and the deceased was later transported to the Chapel of the Hills Mortuary.

The pedestrian crash remains under investigation, and no additional details have been released.
