Emily Hernandez Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Coast Highway 101 in Encinitas
Encinitas, CA – The San Diego County Coroner’s Office has identified a pedestrian killed in a Sunday evening crash in Encinitas as Emily Hernandez, 66, of Carlsbad.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened just after 7 p.m. January 19 in the 900 block of North Coast Highway 101.
Hernandez was struck by a light-colored SUV as she walked across the street.
She was rushed to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla Emergency Department, where she later died.
No further details regarding the crash were available.
