Dulzura, CA – One person was killed following a motorcycle collision with a pickup truck on State Route 94 in Dulzura on Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision took place at approximately 8:40 a.m. on January 7, 2026, in the 17304 block of State Route 94. Emergency responders were dispatched shortly after the crash was reported.
Authorities said the victim was riding a motorcycle when it collided with a pickup truck. The pickup truck was reportedly making a left-turn maneuver into a driveway at the time of the collision.
The motorcyclist was identified as Gerardo Torres Cano, a 30-year-old man. Paramedics arrived on scene and provided lifesaving measures; however, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 8:56 a.m. No injuries to the pickup truck driver were reported, and no arrests were announced.
The cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma. Officials reported no contributing medical conditions, and the manner of death was ruled an accident.
