Dublin, CA – One person was killed and another injured in a head-on collision on Dublin Boulevard on Tuesday morning, according to the Dublin Police Department.
The crash occurred at approximately 8:54 a.m. October 20, 2026, on Dublin Boulevard between Silvergate Drive and Inspiration Drive, and involved two vehicles identified as a Rivian SUV and a Hyundai Sonata.
Both vehicles left the roadway and overturned onto the shoulder of I-580, police said.
Two people were transported to a hospital following the collision. One of the patients died at the hospital. The condition of the surviving victim was not immediately known.
Police did not specify whether the victims were drivers or passengers in the two vehicles.
Dublin Boulevard was closed in the area for approximately three and a half hours while officers investigated the crash. The cause of the collision remains under investigation
