Bonsall, CA – One motorcyclist was killed following a collision with a pickup truck Friday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Authorities said Trent William Newberry, 34, was riding a motorcycle westbound on SR-76 when it collided with a pickup truck under circumstances still being reviewed by investigators.
Newberry sustained severe injuries and was transported by ambulance to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, where he was later pronounced deceased at approximately 6:26 p.m. No other injuries were reported, and no arrests have been announced.
The official cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt force injuries. The crash has been classified as an accident, with no contributing conditions reported at this time.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene along with emergency medical personnel. Paramedics provided lifesaving measures during transport, but the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The collision occurred along a busy stretch of SR-76, resulting in temporary traffic impacts in the area as authorities conducted their investigation and cleared the roadway.
The deadly Bonsall crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
