Vernon, CA – A bicyclist was killed Wednesday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Vernon, according to the police.
The deadly accident happened around 6:30 a.m. on October 22, on Pacific Avenue near 45th Street.
Police said a bicyclist was struck by a southbound vehicle that then fled the scene.
The bicyclist was ejected into the northbound lanes, where he was struck by another vehicle that also fled the scene.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident closed a stretch of Pacific Boulevard between 45th Street and Vernon Avenue.
The police are investigating the accident.
