A woman was walking in the No. 2 southbound lane of Mount Vernon Avenue when she was hit by a white pickup truck.
Bakersfield, CA.- A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Bakersfield on Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened on Mount Vernon Avenue and Oregon Street at around 1:46 a.m. August 3.
According to the CHP, a woman was walking in the No. 2 southbound lane of Mount Vernon Avenue when she was hit by a white pickup truck.
The driver of the truck fled the scene after the accident.
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Her identity was not immediately released pending notification of the next-of-kin.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the collision.
