Portland, OR.- A bicyclist was killed in a collision in Southwest Portland on Tuesday evening, according to a report by the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.

The incident happened on Highway 43 between Palatine Hill Road and Sellwood Bridge.

A man was riding a when he was hit by a car in the southbound lanes of the highway.

The victim, who was not immediately identified, died in the crash.

The driver stayed at the scene after the crash.
