North Powder, OR.- Adriana Blas Lopez, 37, of Hillsboro, was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision that happened Wednesday morning near North Powder.
According to the Oregon State Police, the wreck took place on Interstate 84 near milepost 290 at around 6:45 a.m. October 1.
Lopez was driving a Toyota Corolla westbound on Interstate 84 when he slowed down, for unknown reasons, and was rear-ended by a Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by Ryan Hugh Teichert, 47, of Cokeville, Wyoming.
The impact caused a chain-reaction with Lopez's vehicle crashing into the rear of another Corolla that was also slowing down.
Lopez was airlifted to a regional hospital with unspecified injuries.
The other two drivers declined medical transport.
Teichert was cited for following too closely, according to the OSP.
