Poulsbo, WA – A 56-year-old Aberdeen man was injured in a motorcycle collision near Poulsbo Friday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).

The crash occurred on August 22 on Highway 3 at Equestrian Drive, near Snider Park.

According to WSP, a man was riding a motorcycle northbound on c when a northbound Toyota RAV-4, operated by a 90-year-old Seabeck man, pulled onto the right shoulder of the highway.

As the Toyota began to merge back into traffic, it hit the motorcyclist as he attempted to pass.

The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and was injured. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. He was wearing a helmet.

The incident remains under investigation.
