Tulare County, California (October 20, 2022) – One person was airlifted to the hospital after a traffic collision that took place Thursday afternoon in Earlimart, Tulare County.

The California Highway Patrol said the incident occurred at around 5:24 p.m. on northbound Highway 43, just north of Avenue 56.

A red sedan and a black sedan were involved in the collision. At least one of the cars was blocking the roadway after the accident.

Tulare County firefighters responded to the scene and requested a helicopter to airlift a seriously injured person to Kern Medical.

The cause and manner of the collision remained unknown at the time of the report, but an investigation is ongoing.
