The drivers of the westbound cars were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries

Victorville, CA. – Two drivers were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Tuesday in Victorville, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The accident happened in the 13,000 block of Palmdale Road near Emerald Road, west of Cobalt Road.
A vehicle was traveling eastbound on Palmdale Road at a high rate of speed when it collided with a westbound car. The impact of the collision caused the westbound car to collide with another westbound car. The eastbound car caught on fire after the crash.
The drivers of the westbound cars were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the eastbound car fled the scene on foot and was yet to be located.
Palmdale Road was temporarily shut down in both directions while deputies cleared the scene.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing
