Avondale, AZ- Injuries Reported in Accident on Interstate 10 near Fairway Drive

Avondale, AZ – Injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 10 near Avondale on Thursday morning.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the incident took place at around 5:40 a.m. August 6, at Fairway Drive.

Investigators reported that multiple vehicles crashed in the westbound lanes of I-10 between Dysart Road and Avondale Boulevard.

There were reports of injuries in the accident but the number of those hurt and the extent of their injuries were not specified.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the westbound lanes of I-10 were shut down in the area as authorities investigated and cleared the scene.

The cause of the collision remained under investigation and additional details are expected to be released.
