Two good Samaritans had pulled over to help when they were hit when a Honda Civic struck the passenger side of the CR-V

Pala Mesa, CA. – Two good Samaritans died after pulling over to help at the scene of a crash on Thursday morning in Pala Mesa.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on northbound Interstate 15 near State Route 76 at around 4 a.m.
A Honda CR-V driven by a 21-year-old man rear-ended a Toyota Sienna in unclear circumstances.
Two good Samaritans, a man and a woman, who pulled over to help were hit when a Honda Civic struck the passenger side of the CR-V.
Both died at the scene.
Police say the driver of the driver of the Honda CR-V was believed to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the initial crash.
All northbound lanes of the freeway were shut down for several hours.
More details about the accident were not released.
