Firefighters had to use hydraulic rescue tools to extricate the trapped driver from the Mercedes

Victorville, CA. – Two California Highway Patrol officers were injured in a car crash on Thursday evening in Victorville.
According to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened in the area of Hook Boulevard and Cobalt Road at around 8 p.m.
A CHP patrol unit was involved in a collision with a silver Mercedes sedan. The CHP patrol vehicle sustained significant damage to the driver’s side while the Mercedes sustained major front-end damage.
Firefighters had to use hydraulic rescue tools to extricate the trapped driver from the Mercedes before they were transported to hospital for treatment.
Two CHP officers were injured in the accident and were taken to hospital for treatment.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
