Victorville, CA – A woman was taken into custody after authorities determined that she may have been driving under the influence when her vehicle became involved in a three-car crash in Victorville, leaving two people injured, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The collision happened shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2026, near the intersection of Bear Valley Road and Ridgecrest Road, according to the
Investigators said Victoria Larios, 34, of Hesperia, was driving a 2019 Honda Civic north on Santa Fe Avenue at a high rate of speed when, for some reason, the Honda left the roadway, crossed a curb and sidewalk, and became airborne before landing in the eastbound lanes of Bear Valley Road.
The Civic then struck a 2020 Kia Sorento and a 2024 Kia Forte.
The Sorento’s driver, an adult woman, and her male passenger were taken to a hospital, where the woman was subsequently transferred to a trauma center due to her serious injuries.
The authorities did not state whether the driver of the Kia Forte, an adult woman, was injured in the incident.
Larios was taken to a hospital before being booked into the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, Larios was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and causing bodily injury. She was being held without bail.
The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
