Crestline, CA – The person who was killed in a motorcycle collision on State Route 138 in Crestline on Tuesday afternoon has been identified.

The San Bernardino County Medical Examiner’s office identified the deceased rider as 55-year-old Johnny Ramirez Jr. of Fontana.

The fatal crash occurred at approximately 3:49 p.m. on May 26, 2026, near the intersection of State Route 138 and State Route 18.

Authorities said a white Ford Mustang GT and a motorcycle collided under circumstances that remain unclear. Investigators have not yet released details regarding how the collision occurred.

Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office. Information regarding injuries to the driver of the Mustang was not immediately available, and no arrests were reported.

The cause of the Crestline crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officers responded to the scene shortly after the collision was reported and remained in the area while investigators examined the crash site and cleared the wreckage.

The roadway was temporarily closed as emergency crews conducted the on-scene investigation and reopened the area after the scene was cleared.
