Pomona, CA – The second victim killed in a collision involving a driver fleeing from the authorities in Pomona on Wednesday night has been identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Marc Trejo Saldivar, 26, was among two people killed in the incident that took place at about 10:15 p.m. April 1, at Garey Avenue and County Road near the 60 Freeway.
According to Pomona Police Department, officers were called at around 9:30 p.m. to E. Tenth Street regarding reports of a domestic violence incident.
Police were interviewing the victim when the suspect returned and crashed a black Dodge pickup truck into a parked patrol car then took off.
Authorities pursued the suspect briefly, before the suspect slammed into another car at the intersection of Garey Avenue and County Road. The second car was carrying Saldivar and his pregnant girlfriend, Jennifer Loera-Zarco, 25.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the site of the accident shortly after and pronounced both Saldivar and Loera-Zarco deceased at the scene.
According to the authorities, the suspect was identified as Marshall Judson, 31, of Pomona. He was arrested on multiple charges including vehicular manslaughter, driving without a valid license, assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, DUI, and felony evasion, along with fire-arm related charges.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported that Judson is being held in the city jail on a $50,000 bail.
