Pomona, CA – Two people died, and a suspect was arrested after a police chase ended in a collision Wednesday night at an intersection in Pomona.
According to the Pomona Police Department, the collision occurred around 10:15 p.m. at Garey Avenue and County Road near the 60 Freeway.
Around 9:30 p.m. on April 1, police officers responded to E. Tenth Street after they received a call about a domestic violence incident.
The officers were speaking with the victim when the suspect reportedly returned in a black Dodge pickup truck and intentionally rammed a parked patrol car.
The officers started a chase that ended when the suspect struck a vehicle at Garey Avenue and County Road.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and pronounced two people in the second car dead at the scene.
A silver Ford sedan was also involved in the crash. A lot of debris was scattered in the roadway.
The suspect, identified as Marshall Judson, 31, was arrested at the scene. Officers found a “firearm and miscellaneous firearm components” in his car. Judson also did not have a valid driver’s license.
Judson is expected to face charges in vehicular manslaughter, assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, driving without a valid license, driving under the influence, felony evasion, and firearm-related charges.
