Los Angeles, CA. – 35-year-old Andrew Morcos died in a motorcycle accident that happened Saturday morning on the Golden State (5) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner’s Office reported.

The incident occurred around 9:45 a.m. north of the Pomona (60) Freeway.

Morcos was riding a motorcycle when he collided with a box truck. His city of residence was not mentioned.

Los Angeles, CA. – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a box truck Saturday morning on a freeway in downtown Los Angeles, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The accident occurred around 9:45 a.m. on the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway north of the Poona (60) Freeway.

Emergency personnel responded and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.

The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner also responded to the scene following the fatal crash.

Investigators closed four lanes of the southbound freeway north of Fourth Street for several hours.
