Desert Hot Springs, CA – The woman who was killed Sunday morning in an electric bike accident in Desert Hot Springs has been identified as Laura Harker, 67, of Desert Hot Springs, according to the Riverside County coroner’s office.

The deadly accident happened just after 7:00 a.m. on September 7 on Pierson Boulevard west of North Indian Canyon.

CHP said the driver of a Ford F-150 pickup truck failed to notice Harker, who was riding a Sasikeibike along the right-hand portion of the eastbound lane, and rear-ended the e-bike.

Harker was rushed to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where she later died.

The CHP is investigating the accident.
