Palm Springs, CA — The authorities have released the name of a man who was killed after his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck at an intersection in Palm Springs Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner identified the deceased rider as Lester Codero, a 36-year-old Desert Hot Springs resident.
The fatal collision occurred at approximately 7:00 a.m. Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the intersection of North Indian Canyon Drive and Teagarden Drive. The California Highway Patrol’s Indio office responded to the scene and investigated the crash.
A motorcycle and a pickup truck were involved in the collision. The motorcyclist became trapped underneath the pickup truck following the impact and had to be extricated by first responders.
Cordero sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at approximately 7:13 a.m. at the crash location. No other injuries were reported in the information provided.
