Merced County, CA – One person was killed and two others hospitalized after a head-on collision on Santa Fe Drive in Merced County Thursday morning.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the wreck on Santa Fe Drive and Avenue 2, just east of Atwater.
Reportedly, a northbound pickup truck on Santa Fe Drive crossed into the southbound lanes for unknown reasons and crashed head-on with a white hatchback.
One person was killed in the mishap.
Two others were taken to a nearby hospital, and their conditions were not released.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
