Both Susana Esquivel and Alexander Jackson were killed in the accident
Merced, CA. – Authorities have identified two people who died in a car accident on Sunday night in Merced.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 11:15 p.m. on Highway 59 near Washington Road.
28-year-old Susana Esquivel of Atwater was driving a 2019 Toyota Camry southbound on Highway 59 when he drifted into the opposite lane and collided head-on with an oncoming 2019 Toyota Camry operated by 29-year-old Alexander Jackson from San Jose.
Both Esquivel and Jackson were killed in the accident.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
