Merced County, CA.- The Good Samaritan who was killed in an accident in Merced County early Sunday morning has been identified as Abraham Bustos Guzman, 28, of Merced, according to the Merced County Sheriff Coroner's Office.
The incident took place on Highway 99 north of Westside Boulevard at around 4:10 a.m. March 16.
According to the report, Sincere Collins, 22, of Atwater, was driving a GMC Acadia south on Highway 99 when he lost control and slammed into the guardrail, before coming to a stop in the roadway.
Guzman was passing through the area and pulled over to check on the parties in the Acadia.
A third vehicle, a Honda Civic, was traveling in the far left lane and slammed into the Acadia, which then struck Guzman.
According to the report, Guzman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Honda, Yessica Partida, 23, of Merced, was taken to Memorial Medical Center with moderate injuries.
She was also arrested on suspicion of DUI following the incident.
Two passengers in the Acadia had moderate to major injuries and were taken to Memorial Medical Center and Doctors Medical Center.
Authorities are conducting an investigation into the collision.
