Investigators reported that a Tesla Model X was traveling west on Highway when it collided head-on with an oncoming Kia sedan that drifted into its path

Stockton, CA – A man was killed in a head-on collision on Saturday afternoon in Stockton, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident took place at around 12:17 p.m. May 16, on Highway 4.
Investigators reported that a Tesla Model X was traveling west on Highway when it collided head-on with an oncoming Kia sedan that drifted into its path.
The Kia came to a rest nearly 20 feet south of the highway after the collision.
The driver of the Kia, a 38-year-old Stockton man, was transported to San Joaquin General Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The operator of the Tesla and passers in the vehicle were treated for moderate injuries.
There were no further details on the accident. The Stockton Police Department is conducting an investigation to establish the cause of the collision.
