Cave Creek, AZ – Six people were injured after a fiery two-vehicle collision near Carefree Highway in Cave Creek Saturday night.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the wreck happened just before 11 p.m. on May 16, 2026, near Carefree Highway and 12th Street.
Responding crews arrived at the crash site and found a pickup truck and a sedan on fire. Both vehicles suffered significant damage.
Six people were taken to a hospital, with four in critical condition with burn injuries.
The at-fault driver is being investigated for possible impairment
Carefree Highway was closed in both directions from 7th Street to 12th Street for several hours during the investigation.
