Santa Ana, CA – A bicyclist was killed in a crash involving a vehicle near an intersection in Santa Ana Sunday afternoon, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
The bicycle crash happened at about 12:09 p.m. on May 10, 2026, near the intersection of Fairview and 12th streets.
Investigators said the bicyclist was riding across Fairview Street outside of a marked crosswalk when a vehicle traveling southbound on Fairview Street struck him.
The bicyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. No arrests were reported.
Authorities said impairment is not suspected to have been a factor in the crash.
Police officers and firefighters responded to the scene and secured the area while conducting the investigation.
The collision caused disruptions at the intersection as authorities worked at the scene.
The Santa Ana Police Department continues to investigate the fatal crash and is asking anyone with information to contact investigators.
