Willows, CA – A man suffered minor injuries Wednesday evening after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Road D and Highway 162 west of Willows, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 5:25 p.m. when a Chevrolet 1500 pickup driven by 26-year-old Juan Zamora Villapando entered the intersection as a westbound GMC Acadia approached.
The Acadia struck the driver’s side of the pickup, leaving Villapando with back and chest pain. Paramedics treated him at the scene.
The GMC’s driver and two 15-year-old passengers were not injured.
CHP said alcohol and drugs are not considered factors, and all occupants were wearing seat belts.
