Jackson County, OR – The Oregon State Police is investigating a deadly vehicle versus bicycle crash on Highway 14 in Jackson County Saturday afternoon.
The deadly collision happened on Highway 140 near milepost 4 on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 2:44 p.m.
According to OSP, a Freightliner recreational vehicle (motorhome), driven by Richard Fay McCoy (57) of Central Point was eastbound on 140 when it struck a bicyclist who was in the eastbound lane of travel.
The bicyclist, identified as Wesley Mad Olngellel, 37, of Central Point, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The operator of the bicycle (Olngellel) was declared deceased at the scene.
The operator motorhome was not injured.
The highway was shut down for about two hours during as investigators combed the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
