Wasco, CA – Injuries were reported in a head-on collision on Highway 46 near Wasco on Friday afternoon, according to a California Highway Patrol log.
Authorities responded at around 3:12 p.m. January 2, to reports of the crash on the highway just east of Smith Avenue.
According to a preliminary investigation, three vehicles were involved in the collision and at least two of them crashed head-on. Details on what led up to the accident were not immediately released.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and attended to the parties involved in the wreck. The vehicles were in a roadside ditch and had sustained major damage in the incident.
Some parties reported minor injuries. The number of those hurt and whether they were transported to a hospital were not specified.
The California Highway Patrol troopers are still working to find out what led up to the accident.
